The 49ers and running back Raheem Mostert finalized a restructured contract Monday to take care of the team's leading rusher of last season.

Agent Brett Tessler, who earlier this month announced he had requested a trade for his client, made the announcement on Monday.

Mostert originally was scheduled to earn $2.575 million this season in base salary with another $250,000 available in per-game roster bonuses. He was believed to be seeking a new deal that would pay him in the neighborhood of teammate Tevin Coleman, who is set to make $4.55 million in base salary this season.

Mostert’s pay remains unchanged with his new contract but he is now capable of earning an additional $2.75 million in incentives and bonuses, Adam Schefter of ESPN reported.
