Rams star Donald has funny response to Deebo beef question

49ers

Aaron Donald clearly knows who Deebo Samuel is, but decided to have some fun with a question about the perceived beef between the Los Angeles Rams All-Pro and the 49ers' star wideout.

"Who's that, no," Donald quipped through laughter when asked what challenges Deebo presents to the Rams' defense. "They move him around everywhere, he's in the backfield, they do different tosses with him, he's out at wide receiver, so they just use him all over the place."

Donald went viral back in 2020 after the 49ers beat the Rams in Week 6, claiming that he hadn't heard of Samuel during his postgame press conference. Samuel had recorded six catches for 66 yards and a touchdown in the 24-16 49ers victory.

After the 49ers' blowout 31-10 win over the Rams earlier this season, Samuel quipped about the comment on his Instagram.

Deebo spoke to reporters on Thursday and said he has no interest in speaking with Donald.

"No, I'm not pressed for a conversation," Samuel said.

"I don't know the guy, obviously, he don't know who I am, which he should. I don't know, I just don't walk up to people and be like, 'Hey, how you doing? I'm Deebo.' I'm not that type of guy or whatever.

"He's an opponent, so I don't know why I would want to have a conversation with the guy. I just don't. Not something I do."

Both Donald and Deebo will be locked in for Sunday's season finale between the 49ers and Rams, a game that features playoff implications for both sides. The Rams can clinch the NFC West title with a win, while the 49ers either need a victory or a New Orleans Saints loss to earn a playoff berth.

Don't expect any rosy postgame conversations between the two stars either.
