Trent Williams and Richard Sherman now are 49ers teammates, but they were part of a pretty nasty altercation in 2013, after a playoff game in Washington.
Sherman’s Seattle Seahawks defeated Williams' Washington squad 24-14 in the wild-card game, and according to The Washington Post, the cornerback let the home fans have it as time wound down and they were leaving the stadium.
When the teams later met on the field postgame, Williams confronted Sherman, who asked the big left tackle: “Whatcha gonna do, boy?” When Williams responded that he’d punch him, Sherman told him to “do it then.”

Williams did it.
That beef is squashed, though, and Sherman welcomed Williams to the Bay Area on Saturday after Washington traded him to the 49ers -- although he jokingly asked for another crack at the 320-pounder.
The 49ers acquired Williams for two draft picks, signaling the end of Joe Staley's lengthy tenure as San Francisco's left tackle. Staley, a 13-year veteran, announced his retirement from the NFL later in the day.
Sherman and Williams evidently quickly ended their feud, with both players tweeting complimentary messages about each other in the ensuing days and years afterward.
Sherman and Williams have a combined 12 Pro Bowl appearances between them, and seem primed to potentially lead the 49ers back to the Super Bowl. So, 49ers CEO Jed York looks forward to seeing them together next season.
