George Kittle will return from a two-game absence on Sunday night in what will be a welcome sight for the 49ers and their fans. But they're not the only ones excited to see the All-Pro tight end back in action.
Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson seems to be pretty amped for it, too.
Kittle sat out San Francisco's wins over the New York Jets and New York Giants after sustaining a knee sprain in the Week 1 loss to the Arizona Cardinals. He was a full participant in practice leading up to Sunday night's game against the Philadelphia Eagles, and will be a big boost to his team as the 49ers attempt to improve to 3-1.
Kittle and The Rock have developed a bit of a bromance over the last couple years, initially resulting from Kittle's passion for professional wrestling. "The People's Champ" nicknamed Kittle "The People's Tight End," and recently congratulated him on his record-breaking contract extension.
The two have been known to engage on social media following some of Kittle's biggest games. The 49ers and their fans surely hope they have reason to do so again following "Sunday Night Football."
