The 49ers own the No. 7 overall pick in the draft, and a lot can happen between now and the first round of the draft, scheduled for April 28. The team’s first priority is to sort out the quarterback situation. The 49ers are guaranteed of ending up with one of the top seven players on their draft board if they do not trade back. There’s no indication how the 49ers honestly view their quarterback position – or if they are really considering hanging onto Colin Kaepernick. Most believe the Cleveland Browns will take a quarterback at No. 2 overall. One of these players could be available. If so, Chip Kelly will have the option of taking a quarterback with the 49ers’ first pick or going with someone a little later. -- Matt Maiocco

Tunsil is probably the odds-on favorite to be selected with the No. 1 overall pick in the draft. The Tennessee Titans already have their franchise quarterback. Now, they turn their focus on protection for Marcus Mariota. In the likelihood that Tunsil is off the board, the 49ers’ next best option at offensive tackle is Ronnie Stanley (Notre Dame). -- Matt Maiocco

Kelly recruited Buckner at Oregon. He’s got tremendous size and strength. The 49ers have a noted affinity for big players, and Buckner fits the bill. The 49ers selected Arik Armstead at No. 17 last year, and Buckner is generally regarded as a better prospect. He’s an every-down player who can also bring an inside push as a pass rusher. -- Matt Maiocco

Bosa is generally considered the top edge rusher in this draft. Kelly is good friends with Ohio State coach Urban Meyer. So if Meyer gives Bosa a ringing endorsement, Kelly and the 49ers will have no qualms about selecting him if he’s still around after six selections. Pass-rushers Noah Spence (Eastern Kentucky) and Shaq Lawson (Clemson) must also be under consideration. -- Matt Maiocco

Jack has the kind of versatility any coach would love. Some teams are talking about him as a Kam Chancellor-type safety. More likely, Jack can line up alongside NaVorro Bowman and be a sideline-to-sideline force along the lines of Patrick Willis. Jack is also working on his pass-rush skills, which could give the 49ers’ defense another dimension. -- Matt Maiocco

The 49ers have a bunch of solid, young cornerbacks. But they don’t have a potential superstar. They would have a difficult time passing on Ramsey, who has the physical attributes that compare favorably to Patrick Peterson. He could be elite, and that would be difficult for the 49ers to pass up. The next cornerback, Vernon Hargreaves (Florida), is not too shabby, either. -- Matt Maiocco
