This time, it counts.

After the 49ers had three touchdowns called back by flags in the first half, quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo connected with receiver Richie James for San Francisco's first touchdown of the 2019 NFL regular season.

Garoppolo dropped a perfect pass to James on a wheel route to give the 49ers a 12-7 lead over the Bucs in the third quarter. Kicker Robbie Gould nailed a the extra point to make it 13-7.

The touchdown was James' first catch of the season and just his second receiving TD with the 49ers. For Garoppolo, it had to feel good to get back in the end zone.

Garoppolo threw a pick-six in the second quarter Sunday, putting the 49ers in an early hole. The touchdown was Jimmy G's first since Sept. 23, 2018.
