It’s the phone call every kid who wants to play in the NFL dreams about. Seeing that area code from an NFL city pop up, and to be told that you’re being drafted into the NFL, is a culmination of a lifetime of hard work.
Despite saying earlier in the week that he hoped the 49ers would draft him, Javon Kinlaw was calm, cool and collected when San Francisco came calling with the No. 14 pick in Thursday night’s first round of the NFL Draft.
Kinlaw’s dad might have had the reaction of the draft after finding out his favorite NFL team drafted his son.
Clearly, Kinlaw is ready to get to work.
If quarterbacks around the NFL weren’t already worried about facing the 49ers’ imposing defensive line, they definitely are now.
