The Athletics have the third-best record in the AL through 67 games, but they don't have much representation on the early returns for the 2021 MLB All-Star Game voting.
The closest A's player to being an All-Star starter is first baseman Matt Olson, who ranks seventh at the position with 59,536 votes.

As NBC Sports California's Jessica Kleinschmidt pointed out Monday, while there are no A's among the current leaders at each position, a division rival and familar face currently lead their respective positions in Shohei Ohtani and Marcus Semien.

Olson has the best argument of any A's player for more votes. The slugger has 18 home runs this season after crushing three over the weekend, which ranks second among AL first basemen. Olson's OPS (.984) also ranks second to Toronto Blue Jays star Vladimir Guerrero Jr., arguably a leading candidate for AL MVP so far this season.
A's pitcher Chris Bassitt certainly believes Olson deserves more love and is doing his part to rally the votes.
Every MLB team gets at least one All-Star, and fans cannot vote for pitchers, so don't be surprised if Olson and at least one of the A's starters wind up making the midsummer trip to Denver.
That is good news for A's fans, who can still do their part to get as many votes in for Oakland players as they can before the 4 p.m. June 24 deadline.
