A's fan hilariously jumps several rows, doesn't get foul ball

There’s something about Athletics hitters and fans taking a tumble while going after the baseball. Must be something in the air.

In the bottom of the fourth inning of the A's game against the Cleveland Indians on Friday night, Ramón Laureano hit a foul ball. A very motivated fan made an attempt to grab it. It didn't work out well.

Take a look:

The fan leapt over multiple rows of stadium seats, complete with masterful commentary from our own Dallas Braden.

A for effort? Unfortunately, he didn’t walk away with the ball.

A fan took a similar spill on one of Matt Olson’s home runs while he was participating in the 2021 Home Run Derby in Denver earlier this week.

That fan at Coors Field also didn’t walk away with the actual home run ball, but Olson did send him home with a ball and a bat thanks to his efforts.

It was the least he could do after the fan tumbled over the railing.

Laureano might need to do something similar for the empty-handed fan at Friday's game.
