The A's can set their alarms. The 2020 AL West champions now know when they will host the Chicago White Sox in the AL Wild Card Series.
MLB announced the dates and times for the first two games of each best-of-three series, and the A's will host two noon games at the Oakland Coliseum.
The A's will try to exorcise the demons of past wild-card round exits. In each of the last two seasons, they won 97 regular-season games, only to lose in the one-game playoff. This year, they'll have the safety net of a best-of-three series.

The A's-White Sox winner will advance to the American League Division Series in a bubble environment in Los Angeles, where they face either the Houston Astros or the Minnesota Twins.
