Athletics fans will see some familiar faces in the New York Mets outfield in 2022. After Mark Canha reportedly agreed to terms earlier in the day, Starling Marte and the Mets have come to an agreement on a four-year, $78 million contract, MLB Network's Jon Heyman first reported.
Marte was sent to the A's days before the MLB trade deadline, with former top prospect Jesus Luzardo going to the Miami Marlins in the deal.

Over 56 games in Oakland, Marte hit .316 with five home runs and 30 RBI, also stealing 25 bases for the A's. Marte led MLB with 47 steals overall on the season.

On an expiring contract, there was not much expectation Marte would be more than a one-year rental. He now heads to the Big Apple, where he reportedly will join Canha. The Bay Area native and the Mets reportedly agreed on a two-year contract Saturday.
There could be quite a few new faces in the A's dugout by the time the 2022 season rolls around, as the offseason moves are just beginning to heat up.
