OAKLAND — The A's hit three home runs in Friday's 8-4 win over the Texas Rangers, giving them 501 extra-base hits for the season. It is just the 12th time in franchise history they have reached 500 extra-base hits in a season.

Oakland ranks third in MLB with 195 home runs, and second with 288 doubles. The A's have already matched a franchise record with five different players hitting 20 or more home runs.

--- Ramón Laureano became the first player in A's history to have two multi-home run games within the first 30 games of his career. Jose Canseco accomplished the feat in 42 games and Mark McGwire did it in 43 games.

--- Khris Davis has hit just one home run in his last 14 games, but he still leads MLB with 40 homers on the season. Davis went 1-for-5 with a run scored Friday.

--- Stephen Piscotty extended his hitting streak to nine games with a single in the sixth inning. He is batting .375 (12-for-32) during the streak.

--- Fernando Rodney did not allow an earned run in his first 11 outings with the A's. He has allowed four earned runs in his last three.

--- Jonathan Lucroy recorded two assists, giving him 72 for the season. That is the most by an Oakland catcher since Jim Essian had 78 in 1978.

--- Marcus Semien hit his 12th home run of the season, nine of which have come against AL West opponents.

--- Oakland improved to 61-0 when leading after seven innings, remaining the only team in MLB that is undefeated in such games. The A's improved to 70-0 when leading after eight.

--- The A's have won seven of their last eight games against the Rangers and lead the season series 11-6.

--- Oakland is 51-21 since June 16, the best record in MLB during that stretch. At 85-57 overall, the A's have the fourth best record in the majors. They are 28 games over .500 for the first time.
