Rays vs. A's lineups: Mark Canha, Chad Pinder cover outfield corners in finale

Share

Bob Melvin pondered giving third baseman Matt Chapman the day off on Saturday, only to turn around and say he was ever so thankful he didn't do that.

Chapman hit a go-ahead double in the latter half of the seventh inning to break a 2-2 tie against the Rays. The A's went on to win, 4-2.

The A's look to take the series away from Tampa on Sunday afternoon. Chapman will once again be in this lineup which was an easy decision for the skipper knowing the Green and Gold get a day off Monday. Stephen Piscotty, however, will sit this one out with Chad Pinder and Mark Canha taking over corner outfield responsibilities.

The A's will face opener Ryne Stanek and headliner (I made that up) Ryan Yarbrough will be his replacement.

The Rays will face Brett Anderson who didn't receive a decision in a 6-2 win over the Rays on June 12.

Here are how the lineups look to shape up on Sunday. You can follow the action on NBC Sports California or by downloading and streaming on the MyTeams app
