Kyler Murray is about to get paid by a professional baseball team to play college football.
The No. 9 overall pick in this week's MLB Draft, Murray has reportedly reached a deal with the A's that will allow him to play quarterback for the Oklahoma Sooners in the fall.
According to FanRag Sports, Murray will get a signing bonus close to $5 million. The approximate slot value for the No. 9 pick is $4.8 million.

Under NCAA rules, Murray is allowed to sign a deal with the A's and still play college football.
Hours after being drafted on Monday, Murray was confident that he would be playing for the Sooners this season.
“Yeah, it's confirmed. I will be playing football this season,” Murray said on a conference call with reporters.
The A's aren't concerned about Murray not playing baseball for the rest of the 2018 calendar year.

"We were comfortable with the fact that he'll miss this summer and miss Instructional League, but he'll be ready to go in Spring Training," said Director of Scouting Eric Kubota in a conference call with reporters on Monday.
