A's road home run streak hits 25 games, breaking MLB record

The road has been kind to the A's this season. The green and gold entered Sunday with a 20-17 record away from the friendly confines of the Oakland-Alameda County Coliseum, and on the verge of setting an MLB record.

In the top of the fifth inning against the Chicago White Sox, Oakland made history. Mark Canha's solo home run marked the 25th consecutive game in which the A's homered, breaking the previous record set by the Baltimore Orioles in 1996.

The A's had hit 10 more home runs on the road (67) than the next closest team (Boston) heading into Sunday. Entering the day, they'd also hit more home runs on the road than four teams (San Diego, Detroit, Kansas City, and Miami) had all season.
