A's vs. Astros lineups: Tanner Roark tries to even series vs. Houston

Share

It can't get any worse. Right?

The A's dropped their series opener with the Houston Astros on Monday night, losing 15-0 to the AL West leaders. Tanner Roark takes the mound for Oakland on Tuesday at Minute Maid Park, trying to get the A's back in the win column after another lopsided loss at the hands of one of the best teams in baseball.

Roark pitched 6 2/3 innings of shutout ball in his last start on Sept. 4, picking up a win over the Los Angeles Angels. That win came in the friendly confines of the Coliseum, and Roark has only started once in Houston. He allowed three runs (two earned) in his lone appearance at Minute Maid Park on Aug. 22, 2017, leading the Washington Nationals to a win over that season's World Series champions. Given how poorly Monday's season opener went, the A's could use a similar start from Roark.

Here are the full lineups for the A's-Astros game, which will be broadcast on NBC Sports California and the MyTeams app. Coverage begins at 4:30 p.m. PT, with first pitch at 5:10.
