A's vs. Blue Jays lineups: Mike Fiers takes ball in Game 2 of series

After suffering a 5-1 defeat in Friday's series opener against the Toronto Blue Jays, the Athletics will see a familiar face on the mound Saturday in Game 2.

Former Los Angeles Angels right-hander Matt Shoemaker will get the start for Toronto in the middle game of the three-game set. In his career against the A's, Shoemaker is 6-3 with a 4.19 ERA in 15 career appearance.

The A's, meanwhile, will counter with right-hander Mike Fiers, who has gotten off to a rocky start this season, allowing five or more runs in three of his five starts this season.

Bob Melvin's lineup will have a bit of a different look Saturday, as Marcus Semien will be bumped up to the leadoff spot while Matt Chapman will bat second and Stephen Piscotty will hit third in front of Khris Davis.
