A's vs. Tigers lineups: Chris Bassitt looks to end Oakland's losing streak

The A's continue their nine-game road trip by opening up a four-game set Thursday against the Tigers in Detroit.

After a day off, the A's badly need a win. They have lost three straight games, including a two-game series sweep from the Mariners.

Manager Bob Melvin is sticking with his guys, however, instead of making drastic changes to the lineup. To stop the bleeding, he'll hand the ball to Chris Bassitt.

The 30-year-old Bassitt hasn't fared too well against the Tigers in his career. Over four starts, he's gone 2-2 with a 4.56 ERA. But in his last start at Comerica Park, he earned a win after six scoreless innings.
