A's vs. Twins lineups: Chris Herrmann returns to face Minnesota's ace

Share

Chris Herrmann is back in the A's lineup for the Fourth of July after taking a seat Wednesday.

With the A's facing Twins right-handed ace Jose Berrios, manager Bob Melvin is going with the left-handed hitting Herrmann over Josh Phegley. It won't be easy to top what he did in his team debut, though.

Herrmann, 31, made a historic debut by hitting a grand slam Tuesday in his return from knee surgery.

The A's could certainly use a power boost Thursday after seeing their four-game win streak come to an end in extra innings Wednesday night in Oakland. Herrmann could be the answer.
