How to watch A's vs. White Sox Game 1 online, on TV

The A’s return to the AL Wild Card Game, but this time, in the form of a best-of-three game series against the Chicago White Sox.

Game 1 of the series begins on Tuesday with 22-year-old Jesús Luzardo getting the start for Oakland against Chicago's Lucas Giolito.

This will be Luzardo’s first career playoff start, but he did come out of the bullpen last year in the AL Wild Card Game against the Tampa Bay Rays and struck out four in three innings.

The White Sox appear to have a leg-up on the A’s, as they are 14-0 against lefty starters this season. Luzardo, however, has said he isn’t worried about that.

The A’s head into the postseason without star third baseman Matt Chapman, who had season-ending surgery to repair a right hip strain.

Chad Pinder, who was just reinstated from the injury list, will be able to fill that void along with infielder Tommy La Stella, who was acquired by the A’s near the trade deadline. Third baseman Jake Lamb also was signed by Oakland after being DFA’d by the Arizona Diamondbacks and has done a fine job as well with 12 hits in 13 games with the team.

Before first pitch at 12 p.m., tune into "A’s Pregame Live" at 11:30 a.m. on NBC Sports California. Immediately after the game ends, tune back into NBC Sports California for "A’s Postgame Live."
