Lifelong A's fan Rich B. counts Oakland's World Series titles in 1972, 1973, 1974 and 1989 among his favorite memories.
He surely added to that Wednesday night.
Rich became the third winner of the A's Prize Patrol contest, winning $5,000 after watching Tuesday's broadcast of A's-Angels and filling out this form with a secret code. He was one of five randomly selected viewers asked to write 50 words on why they love the Green and Gold.

“Fan since 1968," Rich wrote. "LOVE coming to the games … from the euphoria of winning it all in ’72, ’73, ’74 and ’89 or it can be a simple walk off or outstanding defensive play! I treasure most the Treehouse that allows our 3 generations of A’s fans to meet! Go A’s!”
The A's matched Rich's prize, and donated $5,000 to the Oakland A's Community Fund.
A's In-Stadium host Kara Tsuboi, mascot Stomper, A's Prize Patrol and NBC Sports California surprised Rich at the Coliseum on Wednesday night.
If you want to follow in Rich's footsteps, you'll have one more chance later this week. Watch the following game broadcast for the secret code:
Oakland Athletics
Friday, Sept. 6 vs. Detroit Tigers
Once the secret code is revealed, you can enter the contest here.
