Sacramento, stand up.
One fight before Urijah Faber came out of retirement at UFC Fight Night Sacramento, fellow Team Alpha Male fighter Josh Emmett (15-2-0) entered the octagon for his featherweight match against Mirsad Bektic (13-2-0). Emmett earned a rousing ovation from the home crowd at Golden 1 Center and instantly proved he deserved their admiration.
The 34-year-old who wrestled locally at Menlo College, knocked Bektic out in the final minute of the first round.
Emmett caught Bektic with a right jab that knocked him to straight to the mat. And then, the veteran landed a flurry of punches on the ground to quickly end the match.
"The California Kid" was loving every second of his teammate's victory, too.
It was a great night for Team Alpha Male. Faber's win was icing on the cake.
Urijah Faber is the hometown hero coming out of retirement Saturday at UFC Fight Night Sacramento, but he's far from the only Northern California fighter represented at Golden 1 Center.
Sacramento native Andre Fili (20-6-0) exceeded his "Touchy Fili" nickname with a first-round knockout of Sheymon Moraes (11-4-0) in their featherweight bout.
Fili had Moraes on his heels with a right kick to the head before finishing him off.
No fighter received louder cheers walking out to the octagon than Fili, who was part of the sixth preliminary fight of the night. Right away, he gave his fans a show as he attacked Moraes early and often.

After the victory, Fili was, well, feeling himself while the NorCal native got hyphy.
Fans will have to wait for Faber to make his return later in the night, but Fili gave everyone an early performance to remember.
For the second straight weekend, a knee to the face ended a fight, but this time it came much later in the bout.
Jonathan Martinez (11-2-0), ended his bantamweight battle against Pingyuan Liu (13-6-0) with a vicious right knee straight to the face at 3:54 in the third and final round of the fight on the UFC Fight Night Sacramento preliminary card.
"When I heard him [Martinez's coach] say, 'Jab, knee' I just picked it up and landed it right to him. It was pretty good," Martinez said to reporters after the win. "... I was all like, 'Man, it worked!' Worked on this for whole weeks and it worked."
Liu, a Team Alpha Male product, came into Saturday with a nine-fight win streak. He suffered only his second defeat by (T)KO.

Martinez's powerful knee resulted in his sixth career win by knockout, and his first since 2014.
