Golden Guardians finalize LCS, Academy rosters for 2020 Summer Split

SAN FRANCISCO – The Golden Guardians (GG), an esports affiliate of the Golden State Warriors, have finalized their LCS and Academy rosters for the 2020 Summer Split of the League of Legends Championship Series (LCS), pending Riot approval. The full 2020 Summer Split LCS roster is listed below:

Damonte, who competed in 2019 Worlds with Clutch Gaming, joins the Golden Guardians after competing with Dignitas Academy during the 2020 Spring Split. Çelik, Choi, Huang and Yarnell all are making returns to the GG LCS roster for the upcoming split.

On the Academy roster, Nicholas “Ablazeolive” Antonio Abbott and Greyson “Goldenglue” Gilmer will be competing for Mid spot and Alex “Gorica” Gorica and Yuri “Keith” Jew will be competing for the AD Carry spot.
 
In addition to the above roster updates, Joo-Sung “Olleh” Kim will return to the Golden Guardians as a positional coach, focusing on the development of those playing Support. Kim spent the 2019 LCS season with the Golden Guardians, competing on both the LCS and Academy rosters and most recently spent the 2020 Spring Split competing with Dignitas Academy.
 
The 2020 Academy Summer Split begins on Thursday, June 11 and the LCS Summer Split begins on Friday, June 12.
 
Founded in 2017, the Golden Guardians are an esports affiliate of the NBA’s Golden State Warriors.
