‘MLB The Show' to expand beyond PlayStation on multi-platform consoles

"MLB The Show" no longer is exclusive.

What that means is the award-winning video game's playing ability will stretch beyond the PlayStation console. Sony's San Diego studio reached a new agreement with MLB and the MLB Player's Association in order to make this happen.

It's not yet known which multi-digital platforms "The Show" now will be available on, but with Xbox's and Nintendo of America's Twitter account reacting to the news, it would appear those are two of the consoles "The Show" will be coming to.

MLB Communications tweeted out there will be additional information at a later date, but the expansion could come as early as 2021.

The latest edition of "MLB The Show" will celebrate the 15th anniversary of the game and will feature Cubs infielder Javier Baez on the front cover. It's set to be released on March 17, 2020, and is available for pre-order.
