This, of course, means the Giants will not be the next home of the six-time All-Star -- at least not for a long time.
But, hey, at least it's not the Dodgers, right Giants fans?
Look, I might sound a bit -- hmm ... hypocritical perhaps, and the timing of my last article where it was reported the Phillies no longer were the favorites probably will hurt a Yelp review of mine, but these things happen.

That said, the Dodgers-Giants rivalry won't be as spicy this season, or any season after that -- at least we hope not.
When you search anything that involves the Dodgers and the Giants, there are literal websites that promote this matchup.
"Get tickets to the Dodgers-Giants rivalry game here!"
This clash could be dated to the late 1800s when the Dodgers' home turf was in Brooklyn and the Giants were in New York -- and since then, it's become one of the longest-standing rivalries in all of sports.
This isn't a history lesson -- you have Google for that -- but Giants foregoing the Dodgers lessens the blow for an outfield that would have been ridiculously stacked.

There's also Enrique Hernandez and Chris Taylor, who are considered just options for the outfield at this point. Imagine adding Harper to that lineup.
And, yes, I'm aware of the slash lines of Dodger Stadium and Oracle Park. Harper, too, is aware of the lines. He knows.
Also, I've noticed on Twitter, it's a mixture Giants fans saying they're glad it wasn't the Dodgers he landed with, but there also are those saying they're glad the Giants didn't land him -- assuming that had to do with the amount of money the team would be spending. Something the team doesn't have to worry about anymore.
But we still love a good National League rivalry, and I know Giants fans will make some noise when the Phillies are in town.
