Field to Table: How to make a hot dog three different ways from home

Share

There are so many ways you can dress a hot dog. The beauty is the possibilities are endless.

Any toppings you want, any form of hot dog, any type of bun and sides. The sky's the limit.

For now, the "Field to Table" squad’s latest project was dressing the typical ballpark dog three different ways -- with the help of former Giants infielder Rich Aurilia, who was there to pick the winner.

Everything from your typical grilled with mustard and ketchup to an adventurous bacon-wrapped dog with sauerkraut were made.

And, as always, they paired it with wine.

Here are the ingredients for Alex Pavlovic’s recipe -- hope you like tater tots:

-Pan-fried hot dogs
-Sesame seed bun
-Tater tots
-Homemade chili
-Ketchup and mustard
-Chopped green onions
-Melted cheese
-Sour cream

For Kelli Johnson’s recipe:

-Grilled hot Italian sausage links
-Grilled sausage roll
-Yellow mustard
-Ketchup
-Potato chips
-Secret side dish

For those of you who are really wild, here is Anthony Garcia’s recipe:

-Hot dogs
-Bacon (not crisp)
-Sauerkraut
-Hot dog buns
-Ketchup and mustard
-Tortilla chips
