LOS ANGELES -- How much does Bruce Bochy mean to the Giants-Dodgers rivalry? Well, the Dodgers were willing to show highlights of the 2010, 2012 and 2014 World Series wins as part of an effort to honor the man.

Vin Scully narrated a two-minute tribute video for Bochy and then Dave Roberts, one of Bochy's former players, presented him with a signed Sandy Koufax jersey. Koufax was one of Bochy's favorite players when he was growing up in Florida.

"To Bruce, with the greatest respect for your past, I wish you health and happiness in the future," Koufax wrote.

As Roberts spoke, a graphic on the video board read "respect the rivalry." Roberts said that Bochy leaned over and joked that if Tommy Lasorda were presenting, Bochy wouldn't be getting a gift.

Bochy has the most wins of any visiting manager at Dodger Stadium. He enters this series with 218 career wins against the Dodgers, including 117 as a Giant. He's 117-118 with the Giants and went 101-86 against the Dodgers in a dozen years with the Padres.

"I've had a lot of battles here, some good ones, some tough ones," Bochy said. "A lot of games. A lot of intense games. It's been a lot of fun."
