Giants to play doubleheader against Dodgers on Thursday

Oracle Park

The Giants and Los Angeles Dodgers made a joint decision to postpone Wednesday's game at Oracle Park after the NBA, MLB and other leagues boycotted games in response to the shooting of Jacob Blake by a Wisconsin police officer.

Wednesday's postponed game will be played Thursday as part of a doubleheader between the two NL West rivals. Each game will last seven innings, with the first scheduled to begin at 1:05 p.m. "Giants Pregame Live" will start at 12:30 p.m.

"Throughout our country’s history, sport has been a powerful vehicle towards change," the two teams said in a joint statement. "The Dodgers and Giants proudly join our players in the shared goal for a more equitable and just society."
