Giants fan in kayak struggles to secure ball in McCovey Cove

It's good to have fans back at Oracle Park this season. It's even better to have kayakers chasing down home run balls that land in McCovey Cove.

Giants first baseman Brandon Belt homered in the bottom of the fifth inning, giving San Francisco a 3-2 lead over the Colorado Rockies.

The home run was not technically a splash hit, but it did end up in the water, where one motivated fan in a kayak chased after it.

It has been a while since fans were allowed to attend games at Oracle Park. Players get to shake off the rust during Spring Training, and that same grace period should be given to fans!
