Logan Webb became his own best friend Sunday in the bottom of the second inning.

The Giants' starting pitcher hammered a triple to right-center field at Oracle Park, scoring two baserunners to give the Giants an early 3-0 lead over the Miami Marlins.

Webb's triple was hit 109 mph off the bat and went 390 feet. At the time, it was the hardest hit ball of the day and traveled the furthest distance.

This was Webb's first hit of the 2021 season. It also was his first career triple and first career RBI.

Webb became the first Giants pitcher to triple since Tim Lincecum on June 21, 2013.
