The 2020 MLB Draft is in the books, and the Giants added seven new members of the organization.
While North Carolina State catcher Patrick Bailey was a surprise first-round selection, the Giants made it clear they were going to take the best player available, regardless of position.
With the 2020 college and high school baseball seasons cut short by the coronavirus pandemic, the Giants had to make picks based off limited scouting and film.

Of their seven picks, they took six college players who could move quickly through the minor leagues and help the Giants sooner rather than later.
Here are stats you need to know about each of the Giants' seven draft picks:
1. Patrick Bailey -- Catcher, NC State
NC State played 17 games before the coronavirus pandemic ended the college baseball season. Bailey played in all 17 games, leading the No. 18-ranked Wolfpack to a 14-3 record. Despite his responsibilities behind the plate, Bailey led NC State in home runs (six), RBI (20) and walks (17).

If Bailey can bring that kind of production to professional baseball, the Giants will be very pleased with this selection.

2. Casey Schmitt -- 3B/RHP, San Diego State
The Giants have a decision to make with Schmitt. Will he play third base full-time? Or will he work to become a back-of-the-bullpen reliever?
It appears Schmitt has the ability to do either. In three seasons with the Aztecs, he saved 23 games in 50 career appearances. He already had six saves through eight games this season.
With the bat, Schmitt was a career .295/.366/.408 hitter at San Diego State. He only hit six homers in three years, but he racked up 24 doubles and drove in 77 runs.
3. Nick Swiney -- LHP, NC State
The Giants appear to be developing an NC State pipeline, adding Swiney to Bailey and Will Wilson, whom they acquired from the Los Angeles Angels this offseason.
Swiney was the ace of the Wolfpack and dominated in four starts before the coronavirus pandemic hit. He allowed just four earned runs in 28 innings pitched, good for a 1.29 ERA. He also struck out 42 batters.
4. Jimmy Glowenke -- SS, Dallas Baptist
Glowenke can flat out hit. In his three seasons with Dallas Baptist, he .336, .328 and .415. His power was on display as a freshman when he hit 10 homers in 2018.
In 13 games this season, Glowenke collected 22 hits and had a ridiculous .458 on-base percentage.
5. Kyle Harrison -- LHP, De La Salle High School
Right in the Giants' backyard, Harrison put up dominant numbers in his first three years in high school. According to MaxPreps, the lefty had a 1.19 ERA and 192 strikeouts in 29 appearances.
Harrison's senior season was wiped out by the coronavirus pandemic.
6. R.J. Dabovich -- RHP, Arizona State
Dabovich made nine appearances for the Sun Devils before the 2020 season was canceled due to the coronavirus.
In those nine games, the Arizona State closer was nearly unhittable. In 11 2/3 innings, he allowed three hits and struck out 17. Batters hit just .081 against Dabovich this year. He did issue nine walks, though.

7. Ryan Murphy -- RHP, Le Moyne College
Murphy made four starts this season, and two of them were complete-game wins. Now, both of those games were seven innings due to doubleheaders that day, but the performances are nothing to sneeze at.
In 23 innings for Le Moyne, Murphy had a 3.91 ERA and struck out a whopping 36 batters.
