Giants pitching prospect Kai-Wei Teng has been suspended for 10 games by Minor League Baseball on Wednesday.
Teng was ejected in the third inning of the Eugene Emeralds' game on Saturday when his glove was confiscated for a foreign substance. He's one of three minor league pitchers who have been suspended after being ejected when umpires found a foreign substance on their person this past weekend.
He had allowed two earned runs over two innings while also striking out five and walking three at the time of his ejection.

Teng, 22, is 1-2 with a 5.03 ERA over five starts this season for the Emeralds.

The Giants acquired Teng, along with Jaylin Davis and Prelander Berroa, from the Minnesota Twins at the 2019 MLB trade deadline for reliever Sam Dyson. Teng is a big right-hander at 6-foot-4 and 260 pounds. He has a four-pitch mix, with all four pitches being at least average in the eyes of evaluators.
Teng is 11-5 with a 2.66 ERA and 1.10 WHIP in his minor league career. MLB Pipeline ranks him as the Giants' No. 18 overall prospect.
