Camilo Doval is throwing the ball really hard right now. No, seriously.
On Tuesday, the Giants pitching prospect topped out at 104.5 mph against the Tacoma Rainiers (Seattle Mariners Triple-A affiliate), according to the team's official prospect Twitter account.

Doval struck out outfielder Taylor Trammell who swung and missed, and as he walked off, stared at him in what appeared to be disbelief. It's unclear if that was the 104.5 mph pitch, but still evident in how hard Doval is throwing.
Doval was called up by the big-league club earlier this season with a lot of anticipation. He got his promotion after never throwing in Double or Triple-A back in April. The organization liked what they saw at the alternate training site last season and how solid of a spring he had.Â
Him hitting triple digits was something the team was used to, but hitting the strike zone with ease and making quick work of Triple-A hitters surely has the Giants happy.Â

For now, Doval’s ERA in Triple-A sits at 6.04 with 13 strikeouts in 10 2/3 innings.Â
We know the velocity is there, but consistency within the zone and keeping hitters off balance will be Doval's ticket to sticking in the big leagues. The clip does show his massive potential, however.Â
Luckily we don't have to face him.Â
