With each passing day, the future of the Giants becomes more exciting. As the big league club battles in the NL wild-card race, the Giants appear to have some stars in the making down on the farm.
It all starts with top prospects Joey Bart and Heliot Ramos.
Bart, 22, and Ramos, just 19 years old, have been so impressive this season, they already have been promoted from Class A Advanced San Jose to Double-A Richmond. Before they jumped to the Eastern League, though, they caught the eyes of coaches around the California League.

Baseball America surveyed managers across the minor leagues, looking to see who has the best tools in each league. Ramos was so spectacular as a teenager, he took home three different honors in the California League: Best Power, Best Defensive Outfielder and Most Exciting Prospect.
Ramos vastly improved at the plate this season, showing his five-tool potential as the Giants' first-round pick in 2017. He slashed .306/.385/.500 with 13 home runs and 18 doubles in 77 games with the San Jose Giants. The young center fielder has power to all fields, hitting eight of his long balls to center field or the opposite way.
He hit his first Double-A homer in just his third game with the Flying Squirrels.
Bart, the Giants' top prospect, hit .265 with 12 home runs, 10 doubles and a .793 OPS in 57 games with San Jose. But it's the defense from the 6-foot-2, 235-pound catcher that really has opened eyes, earning him Best Defensive Catcher by Cal League coaches. Bart has a cannon of an arm and has thrown out 20 baserunners this year.
And he's already hit his first Double-A homer, too, a monster of a big fly.

For the first time in years, San Francisco seems to be growing a crop of stars in its farm system, and Bart and Ramos are the headliners.
