Giants reportedly nix alternate gray road uniforms for 2020 season

The Giants will be getting rid of something next season: One of their uniforms.

Specifically, they are nixing their alternate road jersey with the old-school "SF" logo, according to Paul Lukas of "Uni Watch." They will be keeping the primary "San Francisco," grays, however.

Glancing at some of the responses to the Uni Watch's announcement, (I know, never read the comments), it appears not many people are happy about the change.

Historically, road uniforms would typically sport where the opposing team is located geographically, so it makes sense that the entire city of San Francisco continues to be displayed across the chest of the uniform. That's not the case for all of the teams, however.

With the MLB season on indefinite hiatus due to the coronavirus outbreak, we'll have to wait a bit longer than usual to see any Giants uniforms, regardless of design.
