Giants vs. Cardinals lineup: Mike Yastrzemski in right, batting second

Share

After scoring 30 runs in their three-game road sweep of the Padres, the Giants returned home to Oracle Park on Friday night and fell flat

Clearly, they were missing Mike Yastrzemski. Manager Bruce Bochy isn't changing much with his lineup Saturday, but he is inserting Yaz back in.

The rookie will bat second and play right field. Through 36 games, Yastrzemski is batting .243 with five home runs and five doubles. In his first year with the Giants, he's been able to do something many others haven't, too.

Yastrzemski, 28, is hitting better at home than on the road in the pitcher-friendly Oracle Park. He's batting .273 with a .752 OPS at home compared to .217 and a .712 OPS on the road.

However, four of his five homers have been hit away from San Francisco.

Here are the lineups for Cardinals-Giants on Saturday night. First pitch is scheduled for 7:05 p.m. PT with pregame coverage beginning at 6 p.m. You can follow the action on NBC Sports Bay Area or by downloading and streaming on the MyTeams app.
