Giants vs. Cardinals lineups: Jaylin Davis to make major league debut

Share

The St. Louis Cardinals have been on absolute fire as of late, which is good news for them, but bad news for the Giants. San Francisco's four-game series with St. Louis continues Wednesday night at Busch Stadium.

Madison Bumgarner will take the mound for the Orange and Black, hoping to contain that blaze. He has been pitching well, holding opponents to just eight runs in his last 32 innings.

MadBum has posted a 2.81 ERA over his last 13 starts, and the Giants have won 11 of those outings.

But ...

Michael Wacha will get the ball for the Cards, and he is 2-0 with a 1.50 ERA in six career starts against the Giants. It'll be his first time facing them this season.

Power-hitting prospect Jaylin Davis got his MLB call-up on Wednesday and will start in right field, batting seventh for the Giants. Corban Joseph, who was claimed off waivers from the A's after he was designated for assignment, will get starting honors at second base in his San Francisco debut.

Here are how the lineups look to shape up as the Cardinals host the Giants on Wednesday. You can follow the action on NBC Sports Bay Area or by downloading and streaming on the MyTeams app
