Giants vs. Cubs lineups: Lefty-heavy lineup returns to face Yu Darvish

The Giants will continue their series at the Friendly Confines as they send Dereck Rodriguez to the mound.

This will be D-Rod's 21st appearance and 12th start of the season. He fared well in his last outing against the Arizona Diamondbacks, where he tossed seven scoreless innings. This will be his first career start against the Cubs. He did have one appearance against Chicago in relief last season, throwing three scoreless innings.

Yu Darvish will get the start on the bump for the Cubbies. The veteran has been dominant in his last four outings, boasting a 2.63 ERA with 36 strikeouts and no walks in those 24 innings.

Overall this season, the two teams have split their first four matchups of the season with the Cubs having a slight 16-15 edge in runs scored. But the Giants have lost 13 of their last 16 games at Wrigley Field since 2015.

Scooter Gennett is back in the lineup after sitting Tuesday's game out and will be batting second and playing second base. Stephen Vogt will be behind the plate for D-Rod.
