Giants vs. Reds lineup: Mac Williamson in right field, batting fifth

Was the Giants' offensive output on their just-completed six-game road trip a sign of better days ahead, or simply fool's gold, a reflection of the hitter-friendly environments in which they played?

We're about to find out, as San Francisco returns home to begin a three-game series against the Cincinnati Reds at Oracle Park on Friday night. After scoring 49 runs over the course of their 3-3 road trip, including 24 over four games in Cincinnati, the Giants' bats will be put to the test in a far more pitcher-friendly park.

Dereck Rodriguez (3-4, 5.75 ERA) will take the mound for San Francisco after allowing eight runs and eight hits (including four home runs) in five innings in a 9-2 loss to the Reds back on May 4.

Opposing Rodriguez will be Cincinnati's Luis Castillo (3-1, 1.97 ERA), who earned a no-decision after allowing four runs in seven innings to the Giants in San Francisco's 6-5 victory on May 5.

Here's how the Giants and Reds lineups look on Friday. First pitch is scheduled for 7:15 p.m. PT on NBC Sports Bay Area and streaming live on the MyTeams App.
