In case you missed it, the Giants had an adorable fan at their game in their 3-0 win over the Miami Marlins on Thursday night. His name is Alex the bunny, and he was the topic of conversation all over social media.
Alex is a therapy bunny, and he now has some BreakingT shirts attached to him, because that’s how the Internet works.
BreakingT introduced the orange and black bunny shirts and they do pretty great justice for the rabbit who stopped the baseball world in its tracks. Proceeds will be donated to Tony La Russa's Animal Rescue Foundation.
The four-and-a-half-month-old’s owner, Kei Kato, brought him with her and her friend Josh. Alex supports Kei after she lost her restaurant due to the coronavirus pandemic. Since she adopted him when he was one month old, Alex has attended a NASCAR event, been to Tahoe doing some snow tubing and even been kayaking. Thursday night was his first attending a Giants game at Oracle Park, and he soon will be able to add Warriors to his list.
According to the AP, Alex has been invited to attend a Golden State game at Chase Center in the future.
Oh, and there’s a Warriors version with their colorway as well:
Alex was able to see right-handed reliever Gregory Santos make his major league debut out of the bullpen. The fire-throwing 21-year-old threw a perfect inning striking out two, including a red-hot Jazz Chisolm.
