Kevin Gausman has been nothing short of impressive to start his second season with the Giants.
The 30-year-old is 7-0 with a 1.27 ERA through his first 12 starts. In Saturday's winning effort against the Chicago Cubs, Gausman tied a notable streak with his consistent run of quality outings.
The right-hander allowed just two hits and struck out 10 while allowing zero earned runs as the Giants beat the Cubs 4-3.
Gausman was named NL Pitcher of the Month for May, going a perfect 5-0 with just a 0.73 ERA over six starts.
He has built on a solid 2020 with an even better start to this season, and the Giants will need his brilliance as they attempt to maintain pace with the Los Angeles Dodgers and San Diego Padres in the NL West.
