A legendary Giant made an appearance Sunday during the team's 10-4 win over the Diamondbacks.

No, he wasn't actually at Oracle Park, but his numbers were when starting ace Madison Bumgarner sealed his 1,704th career strikeout to tie The Freak for second on the Giants' all-time list.

MadBum allowed just four hits, no walks and struck out nine across seven innings. Fans gave the four-time All-Star a standing ovation as he walked off the field after he pitched the gem.
Bruce Bochy called it a fan moment of his.
"You really appreciate what these guys can do, and that was vintage Bum," the Giants manager told reporters. "He was really good today.”
Bumgarner also moved past friend and former teammate Matt Cain -- but he had plans for that.

“I meant to kind of razz him a little bit, but I just haven’t done it yet,” Bumgarner said.
Lincecum, of course, reached his strikeout mark in a shorter amount of time -- nine seasons, compared to Bumgarner's 11 -- so if MadBum were to poke fun at him, it wouldn't be as invasive.
