The world's most interesting fantasy football league took another twist Tuesday night.
Cincinnati Reds outfielder Tommy Pham, who made headlines over the weekend for slapping Joc Pederson due to the Giants slugger's alleged misuse of injured reserve in their fantasy football league and sending a GIF teasing Pham's former team, the San Diego Padres, spoke to the media Tuesday after serving his three-game suspension.
Following the Reds' 2-1 win over the Boston Red Sox in which Pham sat out with a calf injury, the Reds outfielder disclosed more details of the fantasy feud with Pederson and brought the league's commissioner -- a three-time AL MVP -- into the ring.

“[Mike] Trout did a terrible job, man,” Pham told Bobby Nightengale of the Cincinnati Enquirer, laughing. “Trout is the worst commissioner in fantasy sports because he allowed a lot of s--t to go on, and he could’ve solved it all. I don’t want to be the f--king commissioner; I’ve got other s--t to do. [Trout] didn’t want to do it. We put it on him, so it’s kind of our fault, too, because we made him commissioner.”
On Saturday, Pederson pulled out receipts of the fantasy football group chat and showed reporters the exact GIF he sent. It involved three weightlifters with logos of the Giants, Los Angeles Dodgers and Padres hovering over them. All three tossed a weight in the air, but the one representing the Padres tumbled to the ground to the surprise of the other two.
"It was supposed to be a friendly thing, just making fun of they were playing bad and just talking back and forth," Pederson said Saturday. "... Because they were a really good team, so it was kind of making fun of how they were not playing well to make the playoffs with a very talented team."
Pham didn't agree.

“Joc gave out half the story, too, man,” Pham said. “I don’t like that. ... He’s sent a few [GIFs]. It’s more than one, and I’ve got screenshots to prove it. He sent more than a few jokes aimed at me or the Padres. That was only one. There was about four or five. And we had rules to the IR. I know the ESPN app rules. We had our own individual rules.”
Pham wouldn't go into detail about the other GIFs, but he did say the incident is "something you really just put behind you."
Odds are Giants fans at Oracle Park might have a little fun at Pham's expense when the Reds roll into the Bay for a three-game series June 24-26.
