MLB announces winter and owners meetings will be virtual

The latest MLB health and safety protocols will continue into the winter due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.

MLB announced Friday that the annual owners meeting and Winter Meetings will be canceled, with both agendas being conducted remotely.

The owners meetings originally had been scheduled for Nov. 17-19 in Arlington, Tex. with the Winter Meetings scheduled for Dec. 7-10 in Dallas.

The Winter Meetings tend to be the busiest part of the offseason, with numerous trades, free-agent signings … and plenty of rumors for the Giants, A's, and the rest of MLB.

It’ll be interesting to see how these will go down having everything done remotely. But we did manage to have a 60-game 2020 season with a majority of the media working from home.
