MLB free agents list: Giants, A's who could hit open market this winter

Share

The World Series is over, and that means we can shift our attention to the two words that really matter: Hot. Stove.

Free agency officially begins on Nov. 3, when players will be allowed to sign contracts with any MLB team. The Giants and A's each have (at least) a handful of free agents to consider, but the Green and Gold has more difficult decisions to make than the Orange and Black.

Do-it-all second baseman Jed Lowrie headlines the list of A's free agents, but they'll also have to decide whether or not to bring back three starting pitchers (Brett Anderson, Trevor Cahill, and Edwin Jackson) as well as their starting catcher (Jonathan Lucroy).

The Giants, meanwhile, only really have to make decisions about starting pitcher Derek Holland and backup catcher Nick Hundley. The only other area of intrigue is where outfielder Hunter Pence ends up, as he told reporters ahead of his San Francisco farewell that he does plan to play in 2019.

Here is the full list of both teams' free agents.
