The Giants won 107 regular-season games and were the best in baseball, but they are underdogs in their National League Division Series matchup with the rival Los Angeles Dodgers.

Per PointsBet, the Dodgers will enter the best-of-five series as -160 favorites to advance to the NL Championship Series against the Atlanta Braves-Milwaukee Brewers series winner.

That the Dodgers are favored shouldn't be a surprise. Yes, the Giants won 107 games, but they needed every single one of them to fend off the 106-win Dodgers to win the NL West crown.

The Dodgers have a stacked lineup and a rotation that includes Max Scherzer, 20-game winner Julio Urias and Walker Buehler, who posted a 16-4 record with a 2.47 ERA this season.

Each team enters the historic NLDS matchup missing an important bat. The Giants will be without first baseman Brandon Belt (fractured thumb), while the Dodgers will not have first baseman Max Muncy (dislocated elbow). LA also will be without left-hander Clayton Kershaw, who will miss the entire postseason with a forearm injury.

This is the first time the NL West rivals will meet in the playoffs. Game 1 will take place Friday at Oracle Park, with Buehler getting the ball for the Dodgers and Logan Webb toeing the rubber for San Francisco.
