The San Francisco Giants feel last week's meeting with Giancarlo Stanton went well, but are still waiting on the reigning National League MVP's decision.
In the meantime, Giants outfielder Hunter Pence is doing his part to help the Orange and Black land the Marlins slugger.
Pence tweeted a picture of Stanton in his Popeye the sailor Halloween costume, and Pence's Napoleon Dynamite get-up from a year ago, asking the reigning home run champ to imagine their "[p]owers combined."
The 34-year-old Pence could potentially see his role reduced if the Giants were to acquire Stanton, as both are right-fielders. Pence is entering the final year of a five-year extension he signed with San Francisco to avoid free agency in 2013.
