After the Giants and Los Angeles Dodgers battled for four days in Southern California, everyone was hoping for a calmer weekend back in San Francisco.
Unfortunately, there was no calmness in McCovey Cove on Friday night.
In the bottom of the third inning of the Giants' game against the Pittsburgh Pirates at Oracle Park, Steven Duggar launched a solo homer that ended up in the Cove.

That's when the fun began. Two kayakers paddled after the ball, leading to an epic collision that eventually caused one rider to go into the water chasing after the ball.
The kayaker who stayed relatively dry ended up with the ball, while the other had to climb back into his kayak out of the cold water.
Duggar's seventh homer of the season got the Giants on the board against the Pirates and cut the deficit to 3-1.
