Robles epically trolls MadBum by wearing red clown nose

Victor Robles got into a war of words with Arizona Diamondbacks starter Madison Bumgarner after Saturday's game between the two teams, and the Washington Nationals outfielder took the feud to a whole different level Sunday.

During the series finale at Chase Field in Phoenix, Robles was seen wearing a red nose in response to Bumgarner calling him a "clown" for admiring a solo homer late in the D-backs' 7-2 win over the Nationals on Saturday.

Bumgarner wasn't pleased by Robles' actions after his homer and voiced his disgust to reporters after the game.

"He's a clown, golly," Bumgarner said via MLB.com's Jessica Camerato. "No shame. No shame. It's 7-1. You hit your third homer of the year and you act like Barry Bonds breaking the record. Clean it up."

Robles responded a short time later, firing back at the former Giants ace.

"When he's pitching well, he's able to celebrate and do what he likes to do," Robles told reporters, via MASN's Mark Zuckerman. "It seems like he calls everybody a clown that actually has a big hit or a home run against him. If he doesn't want anybody hitting a home run against him ... just keep striking people out."

It's unclear if -- or how -- Bumgarner will respond to Robles' incredible trolling, but it doesn't appear this dispute will go away quietly.

Unfortunately for fans, the D-backs and Nationals don't play again this season, so the next chance for Bumgarner and Robles to face each other on the field will be in 2023.
