Scully offers incredible perspective on Giants-Dodgers Game 5

Giants

There are not many people on earth who have seen as many games between the Giants and Los Angeles Dodgers than longtime broadcaster Vin Scully. The 93-year-old was the Dodgers' play-by-play guy for 67 years, before retiring in 2016.

So when Scully says there never has been a game in the rivalry's history as important as Thursday night's Game 5 of the NLDS, you should listen.

Some longtime Giants fans might point to the 1951 battle for the National League pennant, featuring the infamous Bobby Thompson home run, as the most important in the history of the historic rivalry. Scully understands that, but explained why he still believes this game is of greater importance.
